November to April is the best time for this Phuket and Krabi tour. The weather is dry and the seas are calm, which suits the private speedboat and longtail days. Peak season runs from 20 December to 10 January and is the busiest and most expensive period. May to October is the monsoon season: the journey still runs with adjusted boat routes, so ask your designer for current sea conditions.
Six nights is a comfortable length: three nights in Phuket for the Phi Phi and Bamboo Island speedboat day and Old Phuket Town, then three nights in Krabi for the Four Islands, Railay Beach and the Emerald Pool. Shorter trips tend to rush the boat days. You can add nights or extend to Bangkok or Chiang Mai.
